In 2008, Auto Retro Barcelona, the Spanish motor show devoted to collection vehicles and their entourage, leader in the sector and of international acclaim, celebrates its first quarter of a century. The 25th event will be held from 4 to 8 December and will occupy 31,000 m2 of Centre nº 2 and the Plaza Universo at the Barcelona Trade Fair premises at Montjuïc, bringing together over 300 exhibitors from 17 different countries.
At this special event, the organisers, Promobil Group, will be offering a very special exhibition with a variety of top quality features and fascinating themes. The first is based around participation by Porsche in commemoration of its 60 years and its first model: the 356. The show will take a retrospective look at the model’s history, with genuine Porsche material located at one end of Centre nº 2. Other features will be the centenary of the Ford T and the 60th anniversary of the popular Citroën 2 CV.
This year, Auto Retro Barcelona also remembers two-wheeled vehicles with an interesting retrospective look at the history of Spanish Trial and the inclusion of brand names and pilots who set milestones in the sport. There will be mounted exhibits of the most famous Spanish motorcycles that forged the brilliant history of Trial around the world: Montesa, Bultaco, Ossa, Gas Gas and more, representing up to 12 companies.
